When I decide to incorporate both BootstrapVue and Vuetify CSS frameworks into a single project

Can I incorporate two CSS frameworks into my current Nuxt.js project? Does anyone have any insight on why it might be beneficial to use two different CSS frameworks in a Vue.js project?

Please provide some guidance on this matter. I am looking to optimize my website for both web and mobile versions, considering using BootstrapVue for the web version and Vuetify for the mobile version.

If anyone can offer assistance, it would be greatly appreciated.

Answer №1

It is possible to use both frameworks concurrently, but be wary of potential CSS class conflicts. While they have distinct components, combining them may result in unforeseen design issues. If you insist on utilizing two CSS frameworks, it's not a problem. Simply install both libraries and include them in your main.js/app.js file.

To integrate Bootstrap Vue:

npm install vue bootstrap-vue bootstrap

For Vuetify integration:

vue add vuetify

Next, incorporate them into your main.js/app.js as follows:

import { BootstrapVue, IconsPlugin } from 'bootstrap-vue'
import Vuetify from 'vuetify'
import 'vuetify/dist/vuetify.min.css'

Vue.use(Vuetify)
Vue.use(BootstrapVue)

Hopefully, this information proves helpful!
