Transform each element in the array individually

I am seeking a method to transform every element within an array into the format shown below for new users.

var userids=['792','796','788','676' etc...]

The desired outcome is as follows:

var newusers=["792"]["796"]["788"]["676"]etc...

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly valued. Thank you.

Answer №1

To format an array into a string, you can utilize the `join` method or combine it with `JSON.stringify` along with `map`. Here's an example:

var numbers=[10,15,20,25];

var str = numbers.map(function (num) { return '["' + num + '"]' }).join('');

console.log(str);

Answer №3

To change each user id into an array, you can utilize Array.prototype.map(), and to convert each number to a string, use the String function:

var userids = [792, 796, 788, 676];

var res = userids.map(function (id) {
  return [String(id)];
});

console.log(res);
