Transform any falsy values within a JavaScript object into an empty string

Looking for a solution to transform all undefined, NaN, etc. values in a Javascript object into an empty string for better definition.

For example: javascriptObject = convertUndefined(javascriptObject)

Seeking something that can achieve this functionality.

Answer №2

object_example = {
  name: 'John',
  age: 25,
  location: 'New York',
  email: '',
  phoneNumber: 1234567890,
  status: null,
  rating: NaN
}

To transform null, NAN, undefined, and 0 into a Blank String in object_example, utilize the code snippet below.

Object.keys(object_example).map((key) => {
  if (!object_example[key]) {
    object_example[key] = '';
  }
});

Check out the modified object_example below:

object_example = {
  name: 'John',
  age: 25,
  location: 'New York',
  email: '',
  phoneNumber: 1234567890,
  status: '',
  rating: ''
}
