Leverage CAPICOM on the Server-Side

I need to convert my code from .net for signing in client side and verifying in server side to asp classic.

In the .net code on the client side, I sign with capicom using JavaScript.

Here is an example of my code:

<script type="text/javascript">
// JavaScript code for signing with CAPICOM here
</script>

After signing the data on the client side, I want to verify it on the server side using VBScript or JavaScript in asp classic.

Can anyone suggest a way to achieve this?

Thank you.

Answer №1

I discovered a solution.

This information will definitely come in handy.

Dim authentication
Set authentication = Server.CreateObject("CAPICOM.SignedData")
authentication.Verify signed_Data, false, 0
For Each Certificate In authentication.Certificates
    identity = Certificate.SubjectName
Next
If Err.Number <> 0 Then
    output =  Err.Description &  Hex(Err.Number)
Else
    output = "Verification successful"
End If
