Incorporating an additional CSS file into a BoilerplateJS setup

Currently, I am working on a BoilerplateJS project and looking to integrate UI components. Specifically, I am interested in adding the sample from [http://wijmo.com/wiki/index.php/Getting_Started_with_Wijmo] into a component within BoilerplateJS. Can anyone provide guidance on how to include external CSS files in my BoilerplateJS project?

Answer №1

If you're looking to import style-sheets, there are multiple methods you can use:

  1. One way is to directly include them in the index file, which works best for libraries like jQueryUI and Wijmo.
  2. You can also add them as a theme in the themes module.
  3. Another option is to integrate them as part of the module, within the modules folder, which is ideal for specific styles related to the module itself such as positioning and images.

If you need to include files by their path, you can do so using this example:

Boiler.ViewTemplate.setStyleLink(cssPath);

Alternatively, you can insert the CSS text directly like this:

Boiler.ViewTemplate.setStyleText(cssText);
