How to set up and use custom variables in AngularJS plugins

Is there a way to incorporate webpack.config define plugin variables into AngularJS files such as controllers and services? Do I have to import webpack or a similar tool, and if so, how would I go about doing that?

Answer №1

You set a specific value like this

const ENV = 'development';

plugins: [
    new webpack.DefinePlugin({
      'process.env': {
        'ENV': JSON.stringify(ENV)
      }
    })
]

Then, you can utilize the defined value in your JavaScript file as:

const ENV = process.env.ENV;
