Empty value is returned by the Dialog DateTextBox

Using the DateTextBox in a Dialog has resulted in an unexpected issue for me. After selecting a date and submitting the dialog, it returns an empty value. What's even more surprising is that this issue is present in the Dojo demos as well: . Try entering a date, clicking OK, and you will see the returned value for the date is empty.

Is there something I am overlooking here? Any thoughts on how to ensure the correct value is returned from the dialog?

Thank you,

Dan

Seems like the demonstration is not accurate. The value attribute of the JavaScript widget is a Date object, unfortunately it cannot be serialized using dojo.toJson.

dojo.toJson(new Date())
"{}"

How are you examining the result? If you are submitting an HTML form, make sure to include two values - one with the NAME attribute matching your specified DateTextBox element containing an RFC3339-ish date, and another representing the visual field which should not be serialized with the provided NAME attribute.
