Dropdown in Bootstrap

I'm having trouble with this bootstrap dropdown code not working.

This is in a MEAN (angular js) environment.

While the html appears to be correct, the "dropdown" element is missing. https://i.sstatic.net/mFtIb.png

<li class="dropdown">
<a class="dropdown-toggle" data-toggle="dropdown>Change Customer<span class="caret"></span></a>
<ul class="dropdown-menu" role="menu">
<li><a href="#!">Customer</a></li>
<li><a href="#!">Customer</a></li>
<li><a href="#!">Customer</a></li>
</ul>
</li>

Why isn't the dropdown functionality working?

Answer №1

The reason is that Bootstrap javascript was not included in your code.

To solve this, simply add the following line at the end of the body section:

<script src="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.5/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>

Answer №2

Make sure to double-check that all necessary components are included in your file.

If you are utilizing a CDN, ensure that the following code is present somewhere in your HTML:

<!-- Latest compiled and minified CSS -->
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.5/css/bootstrap.min.css" integrity="sha512-dTfge/zgoMYpP7QbHy4gWMEGsbsdZeCXz7irItjcC3sPUFtf0kuFbDz/ixG7ArTxmDjLXDmezHubeNikyKGVyQ==" crossorigin="anonymous">

<!-- Optional theme -->
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.5/css/bootstrap-theme.min.css" integrity="sha384-aUGj/X2zp5rLCbBxumKTCw2Z50WgIr1vs/PFN4praOTvYXWlVyh2UtNUU0KAUhAX" crossorigin="anonymous">

<!-- Latest compiled and minified JavaScript -->
<script src="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.5/js/bootstrap.min.js" integrity="sha512-K1qjQ+NcF2TYO/eI3M6v8EiNYZfA95pQumfvcVrTHtwQVDG+aHRqLi/ETn2uB+1JqwYqVG3LIvdm9lj6imS/pQ==" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>

You can find the source code here.

To optimize loading times, it's recommended to place this code at the end of the HTML file.
