Does this function only function on a singular div?

I need some help! I'm having trouble getting a function to trigger on the divs below the initial one. Any advice?

Answer №1

It seems that you might be employing a similar method:

document.getElementById("myDiv")

Your HTML code may appear like this:

<div id="myDiv">Hello World</div>
<div id="myDiv">Hello Again</div>

If this is the case, you cannot assign the same ID to multiple div elements, and any subsequent divs will not be impacted by your JavaScript.

An alternative approach would be:

document.getElementsByTagName("div")

This will retrieve all div elements for you to evaluate whether they require action, possibly by assigning them a common class.
