Combine elements from an array into a single string

What is the best way to dynamically add each element of an array to a string regardless of the array's length?

var array = ["123", "456"];

var str = 'Insert into table_name values (' + array [0] + ',' + array [1] + ')';

console.log(str);

Answer №1

Implement the Array.join() method on the given array:

var numbers = ["123", "456", "789"];

var query = 'Select * from table where id IN (' + numbers.join() + ')';

console.log(query);

You can also utilize a template literal for string interpolation:

var numbers = ["123", "456", "789"];

var query = `Select * from table where id IN (${numbers.join()})`;

console.log(query);
