After updating to version 0.10.10, Visual Studio Code no longer recognizes JavaScript syntax highlighting

Can anyone help me with this issue? I have attached a screenshot for reference. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. https://i.sstatic.net/3cjKc.png

Answer №1

I encountered a similar issue and found a solution that worked for me:

To resolve the problem, navigate to %appdata%\Code\Local Storage and delete two specific files: file__0.localstorage and file__0.localstorage-journal.

If you are using macOS, locate the files at

/Users/<user>/Library/Application Support/Code/Local Storage
.

This action will reset your Visual Studio Code settings back to default.
