A selection dropdown within a grid layout

Hey there, I am currently working on implementing a dropdown list within a data grid. I want to ensure that if I select a value in one row of the dropdown and then select the same value in another row, a message will be displayed saying 'already added'.

Any tips on how to achieve this using JavaScript?

Ravi.

It might be beneficial to reassess your user interface design. Currently, it appears that you are prompting users to select a certain number of items from a larger set. Using a grid with pulldown widgets may not be the most effective way to achieve this functionality.

One approach could be to maintain an object that keeps track of the selected items by the user (e.g., selected['purple'] = true). You can then check this object (e.g., if selected['purple'] === true) to determine when to display your message.

Best of luck with your implementation!
