A different approach to joining strings

Is there a different method to combine a '#' symbol like in the code snippet below?

radioButtonID = '#' + radioButtonID;

Answer №1

    Concatenate the radioButtonID with "#" using either:
    "#".concat(radioButtonID)
or
    ["#",radioButtonID].join('')

Answer №2

One possible approach would be the following:

const newRadioButtonID = ['#', radioButtonID].join('');

Answer №3

If you add a prefix, it doesn't get any shorter than that.

Answer №4

Is there an issue with the current setup? It seems like it should be functional.

Unless you're in need of a StringBuffer or similar solution...

Answer №5

Here's a simple solution that may not be the most efficient, but it gets the job done:

radioButtonID.replace(/(.+)/,"#$1")
