Which event in the listbox should I trigger to adjust the scroll position?

My webpage includes a listbox inside an update panel. I've managed to capture the scroll position, but now I'm facing difficulty in identifying the right javascript event to call my function for setting the scroll position after the update panel refreshes. Any suggestions?

I thought "onAfterUpdate" would do the trick, but unfortunately it's not working...

Answer №1

Upon completion of the request and UpdatePanel, an opportunity arises to utilize the PageRequestManager and trigger a custom delegate:

<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager.getInstance().add_endRequest(CustomEndRequestHandler);

function CustomEndRequestHandler(sender, args)
{
   //insert your specific code here
}
</script>
