Whenever I attempt to launch the empty Ionic starter app, I encounter a Cordova error stating "Failed to load resource."

I'm currently facing an issue while trying to launch the blank Ionic starter app (version 1.2.4). After installing Ionic and attempting to run their demo app, I encountered the following error:

Error Message in Console:

[Error] Failed to load resource: The requested URL was not found on this server. (cordova.js, line 0)

Can someone provide guidance on how to resolve the 'failed to load resource' error related to Cordova?

As stated on the Ionic Framework Website, here are the steps you need to follow:

  1. Make sure to install Node.js 4 (specifically, not Node 5):

If you're using Homebrew:

  • brew tap homebrew/versions
  • brew install node4-lts

    1. Once NPM is installed, execute the following command:

      • npm install -g cordova ionic

This will install cordova and Ionic globally.

After completing those steps, running ionic start myApp starter should set up a blank Ionic app with all the necessary components.

I am unable to provide instructions for alternative installation methods as there are numerous ways to do so depending on your operating system.
