When a Double Click event is activated in EaselJS, it also automatically triggers a Click event

Listening for Events

function Solitaire() {
    this.table.addEventListener("click", this.handleClick.bind(this));
    this.table.addEventListener("dblclick", this.handleDoubleClick.bind(this));
}

Event Handling

Solitaire.prototype.handleDoubleClick = function(event) {
   console.log("DoubleClick");
};
Solitaire.prototype.handleClick = function(event) {
   console.log("Click");
};

Expected output (in console) when a double click event occurs

DoubleClick

Actual output in the console:

Click
Click
DoubleClick

I'm not familiar with easeljs, but I can share how it's done using jQuery. In jQuery, you have to make some tweaks to get it working properly.

var DELAY = 500;
$('#my_element').on('click', function(e){

++clicks; // Keeping track of clicks

if(clicks === 1){
// One click detected

var myTimerToDetectDoubleClick = setTimeout(function(){

console.log('This was a single click');
doStuffForSingleClick();
clicks = 0;
}, DELAY);

} // End of if
else{

// User is clicking fast, probably a double click
clearTimeout(myTimerToDetectDoubleClick);
doStuffForDoubleClick();
clicks = 0;
}
}).on('dblclick', function(evt){

evt.preventDefault(); // Prevent default browser double click behavior
});

The concept remains similar for event handling in easeljs. You can adapt this approach accordingly.
