What is the process for eliminating transparency from the overlay feature while utilizing Dojox/Standby?

Currently, I'm using a spinner image to indicate loading while retrieving data from the backend. However, the spinner widget creates a translucent overlay over the control. Is there a way to disable this translucency so that only the spinner is visible without covering the field?

Answer №1

After analyzing the source code of dojo/widget/Standby version 1.8 on this GitHub page, I noticed an opacity option with a default value of 0.75.

It's important to note that this opacity property has no impact on the loading image.

Here is an example of how to use it:

require(["dojox/widget/Standby"], function (Standby) {
    var standby = new Standby({
          target: 'targetDiv',
          color: '#333',
          opacity: 1 //set opacity to 1 for full transparency
        });

        document.body.appendChild(standby.domNode);
        standby.startup();
        standby.show();
 });
