What is the best way to access and read the contents of a text file retrieved via axios?

I am looking to utilize a REST API to read the text from a file. I have been using marked to convert the txt file to markdown and display it in vue.js. However, I am unsure of how to actually retrieve the contents of the file. During my research, I came across raw-loader, but I am unsure of how to incorporate the file's text content into axios.

Answer №1

If you want to retrieve the content of a text file, you can do so by using the following syntax:

fetch('http://example.com/textfile.txt')
    .then(response => response.text())
    .then(data => {
        this.textData = data;
    });

After that, you can assign the retrieved data to a variable like textData and use it in your view.
