What are the steps to enable a web app on a user's home screen?

Hey there! I'm looking to add a small popup with a button at the end of my website to prompt users to add it to their phone's home screen. I followed a tutorial that helped me achieve this on Android, but unfortunately, it only works with https and not on iOS. I'm hoping to find a solution that will make this popup work on both Android and iOS, regardless of whether the website is http or https. Any suggestions on how to make this happen? Thank you for your assistance!

When it comes to Android, the Add To Home Screen feature is only available on HTTPS (or localhost) and cannot be used on HTTP.

For Safari on iOS, you can customize the home screen icon & launch appearance by utilizing meta tags, but there is no prompt system currently in place, so users will have to manually add the app.
