What are the steps for integrating DoctorJS with Emacs?

Is there a method to utilize DoctorJS (formerly known as jsctags) in order to create a TAGS file specifically for Emacs?

I have been researching this topic and it appears that it typically defaults to the vi tags style, although I may be overlooking a straightforward solution.

Answer №1

doctorjs doesn't seem to generate emacs style tags and it does not recognize the -e option.

Adding support for emacs tags shouldn't be too challenging, considering that both emacs and vim tag files are in a straightforward format.

Answer №3

It states its compatibility with ctags, so ideally it supports the same -e command-line option to enable etags mode and create TAGS for Emacs.

Running jsctags -h should show the different available options as mentioned in the readme file on github.
