Ways to troubleshoot the error "push of undefined cannot be read" in Firebug Lite?

While attempting to open Firebug Lite for testing an AngularJS application in Chrome on OS X (Maverick), I encountered an issue. An error message appeared:

cannot read property 'push' of undefined firebug-lite.js 30905

What steps can be taken to resolve this problem?

Answer №1

I stumbled upon the solution in a thread on a Firebug forum.

Apparently, Firebug Lite saves certain details about its activity in the local storage of the browser. To wipe out this local storage and thereby reset the activation data, you can run the following command in the devtools' console:

window.localStorage.clear()
