How can we ensure that objects added to a group in a scene (now Object3D()) correctly apply the group's matrix, updating their locations within the scene?
How can we ensure that objects added to a group in a scene (now Object3D()) correctly apply the group's matrix, updating their locations within the scene?
From what I understand, objects in Three.js will automatically update their matrices when they are added to the scene like this:
var object = new THREE.Object3D();
scene.add( object );
If they are a child of another object that has also been added to the scene, like this:
var object1 = new THREE.Object3D();
var object2 = new THREE.Object3D();
object1.add( object2 );
scene.add( object1 );
// Both object1 and object2 will automatically update their matrices
