Utilizing scroll functionality within a DIV container

I have the following Javascript code that enables infinite scrolling on a webpage. Now, I am looking to implement this feature within a specific DIV element. How can I modify this code to achieve infinite scroll functionality inside a DIV? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Assume the id of my targeted DIV is #wrapper where the scrollable content will be displayed

<script type="text/javascript">
        $(window).scroll(function(){
            if($(window).scrollTop() == $(document).height() - $(window).height()){
                $('div#loadmoreajaxloader').show();
                $.ajax({
                    url: "loadmore.php?lastid=" + $(".postitem:last").attr("id"),
                    success: function(html){
                        if(html){
                            $("#postswrapper").append(html);
                            $('div#loadmoreajaxloader').hide();
                        }else{
                            $('div#loadmoreajaxloader').html('<center>No more posts to show.</center>');
                        }
                    }
                });
            }
        });
    </script>

Substitute all references to screen with the div of your choice.

Additionally, contrast scrollDown() and heightScroll, instead of estimating the height which could be wrong, and utilize >= for caution - as not every browser follows the rules.
