UTC Time Picker using Material UI

As I was exploring the material ui documentation and experimenting with it myself, I couldn't find any options to select the time in UTC. The time picker always seems to default to my local timezone, even when I provide a UTC Date object. Does anyone know of any workarounds for this issue?

Answer №1

To convert your Date into a String, you can use moment-timezone library

var newYork    = moment.tz("2014-06-01 12:00", "America/New_York");

var losAngeles = newYork.clone().tz("America/Los_Angeles");

var london     = newYork.clone().tz("Europe/London");

I hope this functionality will be included in material-ui
