Unable to retrieve Google Maps route on Android device

After discovering the route between two latitude and longitude values on Google Maps using "Get Directions," everything appears accurately. However, when attempting to use the same directions in an Android mobile application, only the destination marker is displayed, and the route does not show up correctly. This issue has left me puzzled as to why it is occurring.

Answer №1

I have successfully integrated Google Maps into my app using the code snippet below, and it's working perfectly for me.

saddr = starting address (latitude & longitude / you can also input an address like London)

daddr = destination address (latitude & longitude / you can also input an address like Paris)

public void displayRoute(View view) {
        final Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW,Uri.parse("http://maps.google.com/maps?" + "saddr="+ latitude + "," + longitude + "&daddr=" + latitude + "," + longitude));
        intent.setClassName("com.google.android.apps.maps","com.google.android.maps.MapsActivity");
        startActivity(intent);
    }

I hope this will be useful for your project as well.
