Unable to generate a Facebook like button for the Facebook page due to an error indicating that it could not be reached

Having some trouble creating a like button on https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/ for the Facebook page URL . Whenever I try to press LIKE, it shows an ERROR message. Any suggestions?

The error message states PAGE COULD NOT BE REACHED. Do I need to be an admin of the page in order to create the like button or is there something else causing this issue?

Answer №1

It seems there might be some confusion regarding the issue at hand, but one thing caught my eye -
Have you considered why you are attempting to create a like button for a Facebook Page that already features a like button?
If your intention is to link that page's like button with a like button on another URL, it may go against Facebook platform regulations. Allowing this could potentially lead to users being misled into liking a URL they did not intend to "like".
