Troubleshooting the issue of post-initialization store updates not functioning in AlpineJS

When setting up a store, I initially use:

document.addEventListener('alpine:init', () => {
  Alpine.store('selectedInput', 0)
})

However, when attempting to update selectedInput within a function later on, it doesn't reflect the change:

function example() {
  Alpine.store('selectedInput', 3)
}

Answer №1

Referencing a sample from the official documentation site -

Alpine.store('themeMode', {
    active: false,

    switch() {
        this.active = !this.active
    }
})

themeMode serves as your store identifier. active acts as a property. switch represents a function.

In your scenario, it would appear similar to this -

Alpine.store('customStoreName', {
    selectedOption: 0,

    modify() {
        this.selectedOption = 3
    }
})

You have the freedom to replace customStoreName with any preferred label.

To trigger the function, you would execute the following - $store.customStoreName.modify()
