The width and sharpness of lines in Google Charts may vary

Upon closer inspection, I have noticed variations in line thickness and sharpness despite setting their properties to be the same. Despite searching extensively on the Google Charts webpage, I have been unable to find a solution for this issue. Can anyone offer guidance on how to address this specific error?

We recommend checking all lines to identify any discrepancies. Some may appear blurred while others remain sharp.

Answer №1

One interesting fact to note is that the blurriness seen in graphics, such as Google charts, is not specifically due to the software itself but rather a result of anti-aliasing techniques. Anti-aliasing is used to create the illusion of smoother edges and shapes by blending colors between pixels on computer displays with relatively large pixel sizes.

While there may not be a direct option to disable anti-aliasing in Google Charts, one workaround could involve exporting images at a larger size and then reducing them back down using a non-integral scale. This method helps distribute blurriness evenly across all lines.

If you are working with SVG files, it may be possible to deactivate antialiasing through CSS styles. Check out resources like this link for more information on how to achieve this.
