Answer №2

In my experience, I have not encountered the drawing of diagrams on the client side. However, it is theoretically possible through the use of activex-software, flash, or browser-installed modules. The more common approach is to utilize server-side software for image generation. Personally, I have utilized PHP and its image generating libraries for this purpose, allowing for a wide range of possibilities in terms of what can be drawn. Additionally, there are packages like Image_graph which are free and open source, specifically designed for creating diagrams.
