The Lightbox containing an IFrame is experiencing flickering issues when links are clicked

I am experiencing a similar issue with this post: How can I resolve flickering in IFrames?

Unfortunately, I have yet to find a solution (and I'm worried about receiving negative ratings too :) ).

Due to the fact that my website is on an intranet, I am unable to provide a link demonstrating the problem - but I will do my best to describe it:

Whenever I open an external page using lightbox, there is a bothersome 'flickering' effect when clicking on links... for example, when attempting to access an image gallery hosted on an internal server, the page flickers before transitioning to the next page.

This behavior does not occur when opening any other websites (such as Google or a news site) - the transition happens much more quickly, giving the impression that the content of the current page is instantly replaced by the new content. However, with my image gallery, the transition is slower: the first page disappears and then the next page appears. This flickering only happens with the lightbox popup, not when loading the page in a separate window.

I have tested various JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, Scriptaculous, Standalone), so I suspect that it may be my image gallery causing this issue... any suggestions?

Your help would be greatly (!) appreciated... thank you!

Warm regards,

Stefan

Max brings up a good point about providing the source for clarity.

You may also want to consider using tools like Fiddler or Firebug's Net panel to analyze the actual HTTP requests being made. It's possible that your image gallery is posting to itself before redirecting to another page.
