The Blender model imported into Three.js appears to have been rendered in a lower resolution than expected

I recently brought a gltf model into my Three.js project, which was exported from Blender.

The model appears perfectly rendered in , but in my Three.js project, it seems to have lower quality as depicted in these screenshots:

https://ibb.co/qrqX8dF (donmccurdy viewer)

https://ibb.co/71wLDLJ (my project)

I am unsure whether this discrepancy is due to lighting or renderer settings.

This is what my renderer and light settings look like:

// renderer
var renderer= new THREE.WebGLRenderer();
renderer.setSize(window.innerWidth, window.innerHeight);
renderer.setClearColor (0xf9f9f9, 1);
renderer.gammaOutput= true;
renderer.antialias= true;
renderer.setPixelRatio(window.devicePixelRatio);
document.body.appendChild(renderer.domElement);

// light
var directionalLight= new THREE.DirectionalLight(0xffffff, 0.9);
scene.add(directionalLight);

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Answer №1

renderer.antialias= true;

Setting the antialias parameter in this way is incorrect. In order to apply WebGL rendering context parameters, they must be included in the constructor. Use the following syntax:

renderer = new THREE.WebGLRenderer( { antialias: true } );
