`Storing modified PDF containing interactive form elements using integrated Chrome viewer and transferring it to a remote server`

Our current setup utilizes the default embedded Chrome PDF viewer to showcase a PDF document with interactive form fields, enabling users to conveniently fill out the form. Once completed, they can click on the download button to save the form with or without modifications. https://i.sstatic.net/9RBKV.png.

Our ultimate goal is to integrate a save button within this component, allowing users to retrieve the edited PDF document and upload it directly to our server.

We are open to incorporating a library for this task, as we are currently encountering difficulties in finding adequate documentation and accessing necessary resources within the embedded PDF viewer.

Answer №1

Consider implementing a Submit button to send form data back to your server for processing. If the form is not too complex, you can fill it out and submit the data directly. However, if the form requires more advanced functionality, it may be best to download the form and use a trusted PDF viewer like Adobe Acrobat Reader to complete it properly. In cases where data collection is necessary, using the submit function is recommended.
