showing console logs before initializing preferences may lead to inaccurate results

My Content Management System (CMS) is WordPress. Recently, after making some changes, I encountered an error on a specific page:

An error occurred: loading pref showConsoleLogs before prefs were initialised, leading to incorrect results being displayed - content-script.bundle.js:333

Visit the problematic page here.

Even after deleting all code, the error persists on this page.

Answer №1

When using the Ghostery extension, I experience a similar problem. However, without the complete logs provided, it's difficult to confirm.

Answer №2

The error message itself is benign and originates from prefs.es, a component utilized by both the Ghostery and Cliqz browser extensions.

An issue has been documented in the following bug report: https://github.com/ghostery/ghostery-extension/issues/135

For now, you can safely disregard the error until a fix is issued, as it does not reflect any issues with your website.
