If you were referring to an inspector rather than a console, it is indeed possible to edit source files.
To begin with, ensure that your code bundler had enabled source mapping during the code build process. In the case of webpack, use the argument --devtool source-map

Next, enable overrides in the inspector:
Navigate to the Sources tab > Overrides tab > Select a folder for overrides (create a unique folder for this purpose) > allow in browser alert.
You can now locate and edit the source file within the sources tab, make modifications, and save by pressing ctrl+s. This action will save the changes to a local copy of the file and override the original requested file.
