Reorder links in iframes using JavaScript rather than randomly

I am attempting to modify the iframe src using JavaScript. However, it seems to be working randomly. I would like for it to change in a specific order and also convert milliseconds to minutes!

var pages = new Array();
pages[0] = "http://www.example1.com";
pages[1] = "https://www.example2.com/";
pages[2] = "https://www.example3.com/";
var time = 600000; // this is set in milliseconds
function pageChange() {
var rand = Math.floor(Math.random() * pages.length);
document.getElementById("frame").src = pages[rand];
setTimeout("pageChange()", time);
}
onload = pageChange;

Answer №1

let websites = new Array();
websites[0] = "http://www.xyzcompany.com";
websites[1] = "https://www.abctech.org/";
websites[2] = "https://pqrco.net/";
var counter = 0;
var interval = 60000;
var duration = 10 * interval;
function changeWebsite() {
    var randomSite = websites[counter];
    document.getElementById("web-frame").src = randomSite;
    setTimeout(changeWebsite, duration);
    counter = counter == websites.length - 1 ? 0 : counter + 1;
}
onload = changeWebsite;
