Rely on the pre-installed package

Currently, I am creating a intelligent package that relies on 'showdown', a pre-installed Meteor package. How should I indicate this dependency? Even after adding

packages: {
  'showdown': {}
}

to smart.json, I encountered an error stating "Package doesn't exist on Atmosphere."

Answer №1

Make sure to only include packages in the smart.json that are from Atmosphere, or if you wish to pull them from git, you can specify a git URL like this:

'my_git_package': {
    'git': '<git_url_here>'
}

To add the dependency, remember to include it in your package.js file:

Package.on_use(function (api) {
    api.use(['showdown'], ['client', 'server']);
});
