Receive text notifications from web browsers

Is there a way to extract notification text from browser push notifications using JavaScript? I am looking to implement a timeout function to check the content of the notification. Alternatively, is it possible to subscribe to an event triggered by the notification?

Answer №1

Unfortunately, there is no way to track when a notification is displayed or to retrieve the current notifications being shown at the moment.

All notifications events depend on the notification object that is generated during the notification setup process (e.g.

var noty = new Notification('testing');
). Without access to this object, it's impossible to fetch the notification content.
