Take a look at the Directions API documentation. It appears that you receive a DirectionsResult object which contains an array of DirectionsRoutes. Each DirectionsRoute includes an array of DirectionsLegs, further broken down into individual DirectionsSteps. Extracting the start_location and/or end_location from each step provides their Lat/Lng representation.
