Mapping data visually

Currently, I am in the midst of a vuejs project where I aim to create data visualizations on a map. My goal is to showcase a world map with percentages representing each country. However, I find myself at a loss on how to begin this task. Are there any recommended tools for me to use? Do you know of any tutorials or helpful JavaScript libraries that can guide me through this process? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Answer №1

Looking to display percentage data for different countries without the need for detailed map information? Consider utilizing D3.js instead of Google Maps.

D3.js offers a variety of examples you can work with, such as DataMaps, which could be a suitable option.

Answer №2

If you're considering incorporating Google Maps into your project, I recommend checking out their API documentation for detailed information. https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/ Keep in mind that nowadays, you'll need to have an account with billing information to access their maps APIs. Given the broad nature of your question, it might be beneficial to first brainstorm and solidify your goals before diving into implementation details.
