Major mistake encountered while attempting to establish Github pages

Answer №1

You may need to run the program as an administrator, for example: sudo npm install --save gh-pages.

If you are using Windows, you could try the following steps:

  1. Right-click on the Command Line Interface (CLI) icon
  2. Open as administrator
  3. Execute your command (you will now have administrator privileges)

Answer №2

The error message you're encountering suggests that you must elevate the permissions of your shell.

Employ your operating system's counterpart of sudo or "Run as Administrator" to provide the necessary authorization for executing the necessary functions for installation.
