Is there an automatic culling feature in Three.js that hides objects not currently in view behind other objects?

If that's not possible, is there an alternative method?

Unfortunately, occlusion culling is not supported in this scenario. You can find more information about it here. It seems that the only solution available is through the use of the WebGL API.
