Is there a way to configure the URL so that I can open my pdf object of Teamcenter Active Workspace (AWS) exclusively in the view window of the explorer browser through a link?

My organization's TC Active Workspace version is above 4.0 (AWS) and the URL link is structured like this: http://:Port/#/com.siemens.splm.clientfx.tcui.xrt.showObject?uid= .

I am looking to specifically open a PDF in Browser View. The object I am referring to has a PDF as an attachment. How can I achieve opening the PDF in View mode in the browser only using a URL??

Currently, when I access the provided link, it displays both the object and the PDF view. However, I am interested in opening just the PDF view, without the additional object information.

Answer №1

In order to exclusively view the PDF content without any additional data, you can create a separate stylesheet specifically for the PDF. By adding only the necessary viewer components to this stylesheet, you can ensure that only the PDF viewer is displayed when opening the file from the active workspace. To achieve this, insert the code snippet below into your stylesheet:

<page titleKey="tc_xrt_Overview">
    <section titleKey="tc_xrt_Preview">
        <inject type="dataset" src="Awp0GalleryViewer" module="js/aw-include.directive"/>
    </section>
</page>
