Incorporating Facebook Connect within a Facebook Page

With our website offering users the option to register using Facebook Connect and our active Facebook page, we are looking for a seamless way to integrate the "Connect with Facebook" button onto our page. This would allow users to instantly connect (or register) and be directed to their account on our site.

While initially considering using the Static FBML page application and the FBML iFrame tag to embed the button, it seems that the iFrame tag is not permitted in Facebook pages. As Facebook Connect relies on JavaScript, I am exploring alternative methods such as opening a new window to automatically display the connect dialog box.

If you have any suggestions or ideas on how we can successfully incorporate a Facebook Connect button on our Facebook page, we would greatly appreciate your input!

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Answer №1

In my opinion, the most effective approach would be to create a hyperlink leading back to your website (you could even utilize the Facebook Connect logo as the link) directing visitors to a personalized page that activates the necessary FB.connect javascript.
