Implement TextGeometry.js within Three.js

I'm curious about the utilization of TextGeometry.js from the extras directory in three.js for adding text to a scene. I came across this file but am unsure how to integrate it properly. If you're familiar with its implementation, any guidance would be greatly appreciated. You can find the file here: https://github.com/mrdoob/three.js/blob/master/src/extras/geometries/TextGeometry.js

To begin, start by generating a JSON font using the tool available here.

Once you have your font created, proceed to load it into your project with the following code:

var loader = new THREE.FontLoader();

loader.load("fonts/your_font.json", function(font) {

    var textGeo = new THREE.TextGeometry("This is a 3D text", {

        font: font,

        size: 50,
        height: 10,
        curveSegments: 12,

        bevelThickness: 1,
        bevelSize: 1,
        bevelEnabled: true

    });

    var textMat = new THREE.MeshLambertMaterial({color: 0xFF00FF});

    var textMesh = new THREE.Mesh(textGeo, textMat);

    scene.add(textMesh);

});
