Identifying edited files within the node_modules directory: A comprehensive guide

While working with the serverless framework, I installed it using npm. During my debugging process, I made some modifications by adding console.log statements to different files within the node_modules folder. Unfortunately, I can't recall which specific file was changed.

Any suggestions on what steps to take next would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Answer №1

When utilizing git, it is important to track all changes made. Ensure that the .gitignore file does not exclude the node_modules folder (remember to re-add it if removed).

Alternatively, if you are using Visual Studio Code, you can simply right-click on the node_modules folder, select Find In Folder, and search for console.log, or any other term. For users of different IDEs, look for similar functionalities within your own IDE.
