I want my JavaScript function to appear in full screen mode when viewed on an iPad

I recently created a JavaScript game that can be played in any web browser. However, I noticed that when I play it on my iPad, the game screen is too big and requires scrolling to see everything.

Is there a way for me to adjust the game so that it always fits perfectly within the screen size of an iPad when played on that device?

Answer №1

Do you need help with this?

<meta name="viewport" content="initial-scale=1.0, width=device-width, height=device-height, minimum-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0, user-scalable=no" />

If you want to learn more about this topic, check out: meta "viewport" device-width: Wrong width small on Opera Mobile 9.7 (10 works)

When working with screen.width and height values for scaling, remember to factor in the screen dimensions properly. The previous meta tag will give you a consistent value to start with.

Answer №2

Implement this <meta> tag within the head section of your HTML document

<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width">

If the above method is insufficient, utilize CSS media queries to further tailor your website for mobile devices, such as:

@media only screen and (min-width: 480px) {
  /* Adjust styles for screens wider than 480px */
}

@media only screen and (min-width: 768px) {
  /* Further style modifications for screens wider than 768px */
}
