How can I create a script for a sliding/toggling menu?

Not sure if it's appropriate to ask, but I'm currently in search of a slide/toggle menu. Despite my efforts on Google, I haven't been able to find exactly what I need. As someone who is more skilled in HTML/CSS than jQuery or other scripting languages, I am hoping to come across a pre-written script that fits the bill.

I have included an image to illustrate what I am looking for: a small box on the left side that expands downwards when clicked, remaining open until clicked again. An up/down arrow that changes based on the current state would be a nice touch as well.

If anyone can recommend a script that meets these requirements, I would greatly appreciate it! :)

Thank you in advance!

Perhaps an example like this would work?

Sample HTML:

<div id="header">
    <ul>
        <li>Foo</li>
        <li>Bar</li>
        <li>Boo</li>
        <li>Far</li>
    </ul>
    <div id="toggledWrapper">
        <p id="toggled">Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea commodo consequat. Duis aute irure dolor in reprehenderit in voluptate velit esse cillum dolore eu fugiat nulla pariatur. Excepteur sint occaecat cupidatat non proident, sunt in culpa qui officia deserunt mollit anim id est laborum.</p>
        <div id="toggler">Toggle</div>
    </div>
</div>

JavaScript (utilizing jQuery):

$(document).ready(function() {
    $("#toggled").hide();

    $("#toggler").click(function () {
        $("#toggled").slideToggle();
    });
});
