Exploring the Access Method for a Different Addon

Seeking to streamline my Dashboard using Google Analytics Data. I've been utilizing this Addon https://developers.google.com/analytics/solutions/google-analytics-spreadsheet-add-on to retrieve the necessary data. Is there a way to interact with the methods of this addon?

Aware that I could leverage the Google Analytics API to access the data, but exploring other options.

Interested in learning how to trigger the data fetch method within the Addon. Alternatively, accessing the Addon's source code would be beneficial, though it seems to be restricted.

Appreciate any insights or assistance. Thank you.

Since the inception of Google Apps Script, developers have been searching for a way to release apps without revealing the code openly.

Thankfully, the introduction of add-ons has solved this issue. The unveiling of Add-ons clarified this solution.

  • Sharing functionality without revealing code: In contrast to regular Apps Script projects, add-ons do not expose your source code to everyone. This is reassuring for both non-technical users and those responsible for protecting your codebase's confidential information.

The intentional inability to view the source or access functions is deliberate. Unless the code author chooses to make it open-source, you are left to fend for yourself.
