Establish a connection to AWS by utilizing MQTT.js

Looking to create a web page that connects to an AWS server? While python-Paho-mqtt allows for the use of tls_set to add security certificates and more, how can we achieve the same with MQTT.js? And if unable to do so, what are the steps to run python-PAHO-MQTT from within HTML?

Appreciate any assistance provided. Thank you.

Answer №1

The browser takes care of managing certificates for websocket connections, not the javascript client.

To establish a connection, you will need to upload your certificate to the browser keystore being used. The browser will then select (or prompt if there are multiple matches) the correct one to send to the server, similar to how it handles secure HTTPS connections.
