Error message: Suitescript encountered an unexpected issue - TypeError: The function this.handleChange is not defined

For the past year, I have been immersed in Suitescript development. In my current project, I have a client script that triggers on Save for a Journal Entry. However, upon trying to save, I encounter an error message that reads "TypeError this.handleChange is not a function". Can anyone shed some light on what this specific error could signify within my code?

Answer №1

The issue seems to be specific to Chrome, possibly stemming from the recent update to version 57. Our team has noticed similar behavior with client-side fieldChanged scripts that previously functioned correctly but now encounter issues only in Chrome while operating seamlessly in other web browsers.

Answer №2

Without inspecting the code, it is likely that your problem stems from scope issues. Double-check to ensure that "this" is referencing the correct location.
